Paolo Bonfini obtained his MSc in Astrophysics at the University of Milan-Bicocca (Italy) in 2008, and his PhD in Physics at the University of Crete (Greece) in 2013. |

| Career |
After the PhD, he obtained a postdoctoral position at the Centre for Astrophysics and Supercomputing (CAS) of the Swinburne University of Technology (Australia) during 2013-2015. Then, during 2015-2017, he was awarded a Mexican postdoctoral fellowship to work at the Instituto de Radioastronomia y Astrofisica (IRyA) of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). In 2018 returned to IA-FORTH as a postdoc. From July 2018 until February 2020 he was a postdoc affiliated with the National Observatory of Athens. |

Spectral properties of nearby galaxies, scaling relations between Super-Massive Black Holes (SMBHs) and their host galaxies, morphological modelling and evolution of nearby galaxies, dust rings in early-type galaxies, extragalactic Globular Cluster (GC) populations. |
